The Insider #9: Roger Garcia, director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival

On this week's Insider, we talk to Roger Garcia, director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival and respected authority on the cinema of Hong Kong and martial arts films in general. As part of DIFFPix's Hong Kicks series, Roger talked to us about the work of Bruce Lee and revealed some interesting observations on his legacy. Roger also discussed the current state of Hong Kong's cinema and where it's headed, as well as his opinions on the state of modern martial arts films.

The Insider #8: Alex Fegan, director of Older Than Ireland

On an extra-special edition of The Insider, we talked to Alex Fegan, director of the upcoming documentary Older Than Ireland. Alex's previous work, The Irish Pub, garnered a huge response both nationally and internationally and off the back of that came Older Than Ireland. Alex talked about the characters in Older Than Ireland, what the common link between them was and how he managed to condense than over several hundred years of stories into a documentary feature.

The organisation, set up in 2000, acts as a champion for Irish directors both home and abroad. The Insider #6: Mountaineers Hannah Shields & Ian Taylor - how realistic is Everest?

We spoke to mountaineers Hannah Shields and Ian Taylor, both of whom climbed Everest in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Hannah narrowly reached the summit in 2003, however she returned in 2008 with a group of 22 climbers and took part in a six-week trek to the top. Ian was the youngest Irishman to reach the summit and did so after being told by professional climbers that he wasn't the right material.

The Insider #4 - Moe Honan, Irish film producer

This week on The Insider, we talk to Moe Honan, who's worked extensively in animation as a producer, dialogue director and more. Her latest film, Two By Two, is now Ireland's highest grossing film of 2015 and enjoyed a wide release in the US. She talked to us about Ireland's growing animation community, dealing with international distributors and her own experiences working in a male-dominated industry.
